Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 July 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the MaxHear app (“the App”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What MaxHear is
MaxHear is a general-purpose hearing amplifier that boosts ambient sound through your headphones in real time. It is not a hearing aid and is not a medical device intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Do not rely on it in situations where failure to hear could be dangerous.
2. Safe listening
The App can produce loud sound. Start at a low volume and increase gradually. Prolonged exposure to loud audio may damage your hearing. Use at your own discretion and stop if you experience discomfort.
3. Subscriptions
MaxHear offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Any free-trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription during that trial. Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region.
4. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App.
5. Disclaimer & liability
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the App.
6. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
